Integrity: We plan to write a draft of a new law to combat corruption
Integrity Commission announced that it was writing the draft anti-corruption law and submitted it to the House of Representatives for a vote.
The head of the agency Hassan al-Yassiri Abaraleom’s that “Iraq needs system to new laws in line with the status quo,” stressing that “there is inter old laws since the sixties of the last century are not in line with the present time.”…
wmawhite: When I first got into this investment I was always thinking that this investment was ready to come to fruition. Then as late as a year and a half ago, when we were told by the CBI, GOI and members of Parliament that it was not time for the “Delete The Zeros Project” I thought that they were crazy. They had to be crazy – I would think. Little did I understand that there was much more to accomplish by the CBI and the GOI. It was as if the pizza had just been put into the oven and we, the investors, were ready to pull it right out of the oven.
Whether it is the restructuring of the banking system, or the Anti Money Laundering Law or the…?? Now I can see the importance of what is taking place today and how critical all of this activity is. Taxes and tariffs, all of these initiatives along with many more are like the toppings of a pizza. Had the CBI moved forward with the Delete the Zeros Project two years ago which would have with it a substantial change in the value of the IQD, it would have been similar to pulling the pizza out of the oven without any toppings, without any sauce and under cooked dough.
In other words, as early as 6 months ago, Iraq had not started putting into place the laws necessary to support the new institutions that will make the new Iraq a success. What we are seeing today is what we needed to see when Dr. Shabibi was pushing so hard to get this to the finish line. Sadly, the corruption won out…………until now.
Be excited, you have many reasons to be so.

Chairman of the Integrity Committee will meet Governor of the Central Bank
MP Talal Zobaie met head of the Integrity Committee on Wednesday 7/10/2015 Governor of the Central Bank, Mr. Ali Keywords and his accompanying delegation, Bhoudoraadd of gentlemen members.
They discussed the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the central bank and fiscal policy commitments lies with Iraq as a member of the International Monetary Fund, as well as the mechanism of anti-foreign banking policy and currency smuggling.
The meeting also discussed the measures to be taken to deter private banks in violation of regulations and instructions and the policy of the central bank and the banks that Taatlca in payments of Baadaat customers.
Turning Allqaoualy issue of bank letters of guarantee and compare the bank’s policy followed in the sale of currency operations compared to neighboring countries and the advancement of the Iraqi economy and trade, and the Bank’s future plans to revive the economy in the current financial crisis.
