Block change calls for Abadi to resign from his party and renounce British citizenship

BGG Notes: This is still the “corrupt bunch” trying to maneuver Abadi into a bad way… this one is them calling Abadi to resign from his party (and his British citizenship)… On one hand you can see it – in accordance with the “Law of Parties”, which I’m not sure applies to him. On the other hand – it is SURELY an attempt to grapple internal party power from that wing of the Shia Alliance.

Corruption, corruption, corruption…

This is the watch word for today… and going forward. Iraq is rooting out corruption and fraud at every turn. This will not be an overnight success – but it may not be required to be a fully complete process prior to some kind of currency reform / value shift.

The world powers spoke out – Iraq responded. This is good for Dinar investors. We should remember that’s what this is – an investment. The big problem is timing… it’s not coming fast enough for most people. I’m with you there. However, none of us control the timing. It’s not a “guaranteed winning lottery ticket” – it’s an investment.

Allawi calls for a change of prime minister

Allawi has “called for” the removal of Abadi… why??

Two guesses…

Firstly, Abadi just “fired” Allawi…  and he’s likely going to get tangled up in this corruption sting.

Allawi is a whiner with very little political sway… (and it’s a terrible idea to attack the PM – who is fighting corruption FOR THE PEOPLE… Allawi is giving himself to the Shia hardliners as a perfect patsy…)

Allawi’s name is much bigger than his actual “political footprint” these days. He never really had a true “plurality” and since his “glory days” his base has been split several times. His “parliamentary bloc” is now a fraction the size it once was.

Take his rhetoric with a grain of salt… he’s “all hat – no cattle” (as they say in Texas). There will be plenty of fireworks before this is over – but keep in mind, it’s typically comes from those about to land in the snare or those losing more power.

Maliki was meeting with the U.S. (and I mentioned this earlier) trying to see if they would support early elections. He JUST CAN’T WAIT to pull some kind of “over throw”… and now is his best hope. Before he’s strung up as a traitor… soon he’ll have no chance.

I plainly said – it was curious the U.S. (Embassy personnel) would meet with Maliki – but if you saw through their “parsed language” it was clear. They support Abadi and the current GOI.

I was questioning what that was all about – but this article makes it clear… Maliki was after support for new elections (and an “elected” Abadi overthrow).

Najiba Najib: adoption of the investment law will help solving the problems of the financial budget

First – when is the Investment Law coming and exactly where does this law come up with the revenue to make good and this budget problem??

Reportedly – the Investment Law is “coming soon” and secondly – it is good news to hear Najiba Najib talking like this. Also  worth pointing out – she was the MP calling for an RV recently (value, increase, whatever you want to call it – that’s what she said).

So there it is – “soon” and she’s calling for an increase in value – as an answer to their budgetary crisis.

Iran behind assassinations and abductions in Iraq

For the past six weeks the people of Baghdad and other Iraqi cities have taken part in mass demonstrations demanding an end to government corruption and the trial and punishment of former Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, the European Iraqi Freedom Association (EIFA) said in a statement on Saturday.

They have demanded a complete reform of the corrupt Iraqi judicial system, which was set up by Maliki and politically controlled, it said.

“The protesters in particular demand the removal from office of the head of the Supreme Judicial Council – Medhat Mahmoud, who for the past 8 years proved to be a willing tool of Maliki and his puppet-masters from the Iranian regime.”

“It has now emerged, according to Iraqi media, that Hadi Ameri and Abu Mehdi Mohandess, two of the most coldblooded leaders from Iran’s revolutionary guards and commanders of the militias affiliated with the terrorist Quds Force (QF), went to see Medhat Mahmoud to reassure him of their support and to let him know that the militias, the QF, and the Iranian regime are opposed to his resignation. This represents a blatant confrontation with the demonstrators and their legitimate demands to defeat the aspirations of the Iraqi people for justice and change.”

“This latest outrage comes against a background that has seen the assassination of at least four organizers of the protests and the abduction of Turkish workers by the militias associated with the Iranian regime.”

Indeed one of the leading protesters stated: “The loudest message from the Shi’ite militias that resorted to these assassinations is that we should keep quiet regarding the religious parties supporting Iran…They allege that we are against religion, but we have not insulted any religion. We are just demanding a civilian government. We are an Islamic nation and we want a civilian and technocratic government.”

The European Iraqi Freedom Association (EIFA) expressed its “abhorrence” and condemned the “terrorist and criminal measures and the pressures that have been used against the demonstrators.”

It called on Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to protect the demonstrators with all means at his disposal and to pave the way for real reforms by arresting Maliki and his cohorts and bringing them to justice. “Otherwise, the Iranian regime and its elements in Iraq will undermine and defeat his reforms.”

The European Iraqi Freedom Association (EIFA) is presided by Struan Stevenson, a UK Conservative Member of the European Parliament from 1999 to 2014 and President of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with Iraq from 2009-2014.
