Former MP: The Popular Mobilization Forces will have a law passed in parliament in the coming days
Former MP Hussein Ali confirmed that the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) will have its own law, as Parliament moves towards enacting a PMF law, despite some external messages regarding this legislation.
Ali told Al-Maalouma, “The PMF law, which is expected to be passed in the coming days, has not faced any external comments or negative messages from the US administration, despite attempts to obstruct its passage during the previous parliamentary session.” He added, “There are some messages regarding merging the PMF law with other laws or reintroducing it in Parliament under a different title, but the reality is that the law will be enacted in the coming days, and there is a move to pass it in Parliament in the near future.” He explained, “The PMF will have a law in any case, whether through the enactment of a law specific to the PMF Commission or through its merger with another entity, in which case it will have its own law.
