“Extension”: We will not participate in a partisan government formed by the coordination framework

Shafaq News / The “Extension” parliamentary bloc confirmed, on Wednesday, that it will not participate in any “partisan” government intended to form the comprehensive coordination framework for Shiite forces, except for the Sadrist movement, while noting that the consensual government is the one who destroyed Iraq.

The head of the bloc, Haider al-Salami, told Shafaq News Agency, “The extension movement opposes any quota or partisan government, and any government that will be formed by the coordination framework, we will not participate in it, because it is the quota governments that destroyed the country.”

He added, “If there is an intention to form an independent government, its features will appear in the government program. If it is acceptable, we will support this program with our role in the opposition and oversight of the government’s work in implementing the program.”

Yesterday, Tuesday, the candidate for the coordination framework to head the next government, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, met with a number of deputies in the parliament building to explain his government program.

Al-Sudani’s office said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, “The meeting took place at the invitation of a number of deputies representing different political blocs, and they were directed to Al-Sudani to discuss the course of events, to stand on the latest political developments, and to exchange ideas, visions and proposals regarding the ministerial program and the relationship that should be between Parliament and the government.” “.

After the meeting, an informed political source said that the “Extension” movement is considering the dismissal of one of its deputies in Parliament because of his attendance at the meeting of the coordination framework candidate for the presidency of the next government, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.

The source told Shafaq News Agency, “Extension is studying the dismissal of Representative Hamid Al-Shiblawi from its membership, against the background of his attendance at the joint deliberative meeting that was held today inside the parliament building for a group of deputies with the candidate of the coordination framework for the prime minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.”
