Al-Kazemi asserting the necessity of controlling arms: no party or force can remain outside the framework of the state

Baghdad today – The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa al-Kazimi, confirmed on Thursday (28 May 2020) that no party or force has the right to be outside the framework of the state.

The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement, that the latter “was informed during the visit, of the latest developments of the ongoing operations and the ongoing cleansing activities against ISIS operatives.”

He indicated during his meeting with a number of military and security officials, that “developing and reforming security institutions is one of the priorities of the ministerial curriculum, which provides for enhancing the performance of the various security services and achieving the required complementarity between them, and working on the principle that all military and security forces serve the people, their aspirations, unity, security, and protection of their capabilities.”

He stressed, “No party or force has the right to be outside the framework of the state, confirming the continuation of military operations and the securing of borders.”

Al-Kazimi indicated “the importance of coordination between our security forces of all kinds, which will positively reflect on military and security operations and the pursuit of terrorist cells.”

Before that, the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces visited Thursday the headquarters of joint operations to learn about developments in military operations and to pursue ISIS militants.

The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement, that the latter “was informed during his visit to the headquarters of the Joint Operations Command about the latest developments in military operations to pursue the remnants of the ISIS terrorist gangs, to enhance security and stability.”
