Qaddo said to (Baghdad Today) that “there is a very large parliamentary majority, which is more than (200) deputies, from different political blocs, who will vote for Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi and his new government,” noting that “Allawi’s call Until an extraordinary session was held in Parliament, T came to ensure that he received this great support. ”

And that “there are political parties that still have objections and reservations, and dialogues are continuing with them in order to reach a consensus and agreement, and if those parties insist on their position, the session will be held, even if they boycott them, because the parliamentary majority supporting Allawi will be present and give him confidence.”

The deputy of the Al-Fatah coalition, Karim Alioui, revealed positive messages and reassurances sent by the Sunni and Kurdish political forces to vote on the government of the Prime Minister-designate, Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, next Monday, indicating that the pressures exerted by some political forces during the formation of the government did not achieve anything on the ground.

Aliwi told (Baghdad Today), “Most of the political blocs agreed to vote to give confidence to Allawi’s government, including the opposing blocs, because the general situation requires everyone to support the next government to get out of the crises that the country is going through and give the opportunity to achieve the steps for real reform.” .

He added that “the Shiite blocs received positive signals from the Kurds and Sunnis with the support of the Allawi government during the voting session next week,” noting that “the pressures that some political forces tried to impose on Allawi did not achieve anything on the ground, and everyone became agreed on the need to move forward with forming the government New. ”

And the Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, called on Wednesday (February 19 2020), the House of Representatives to hold an extraordinary session next Monday, in order to vote on giving confidence to his next transitional government.

Allawi said in a speech addressed to the Iraqi people, “Your historic battle for the homeland for which you have borne heavy burdens and heavy sacrifices has changed political rules and resulted in an independent government formation for the first time in decades without the participation of candidates of political parties.”

And the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, commissioned on February 1 this year Allawi to form a government, after the former Prime Minister submitted his resignation from the post under the pressure of popular demonstrations.
