At Trump’s invitation, al-Zaidi participates in a regional meeting in New York

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi participated on Tuesday evening, Baghdad time, in a multilateral meeting called for by US President Donald Trump, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that the meeting was attended by the heads of delegations from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and Turkey, in addition to the United States of America. The statement added that the meeting addressed a number of regional and international issues and files, most notably strengthening security and stability, protecting global trade and securing supply chains, as well as maintaining development levels in the region’s economies.

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi arrived in New York on Monday to participate in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
