On Tuesday afternoon, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met with US President Donald Trump at the White House, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office.
Al-Zaidi arrived in the US capital, Washington, on Monday, at the head of a high-level delegation that included a number of ministers, officials, investors and business owners, on an official visit that will last for seven days.
On Monday evening, a senior US administration official revealed details of the files and basic demands that US President Donald Trump will put on the table for discussion with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi, ahead of their anticipated meeting at the White House on Tuesday at 11:00 AM Washington time.
The official, who requested anonymity, told Shafaq News Agency that the United States stands by Iraqi efforts to realize Iraq’s full potential as a force for stability, prosperity and security in the Middle East.
