Anbari politician: Al-Halbousi’s wealth reached $4 billion after his presidency of Parliament

Information/Anbar… The Secretary-General of the Popular Movement for Reform in Anbar Governorate, Dhari Abu Risha, revealed on Monday that the ousted President Muhammad al-Halbousi possesses huge sums of money estimated at more than 4 billion dollars, making him ranked first in Anbar Governorate among the highest-paid figures in the governorate and perhaps in the governorates.

Al-Dulaimi said in a statement to the “Al-Ma’louma” agency, “The Federal Integrity Commission enacted the law, where did you get this from through a letter that it addressed to a number of representatives after their money swelled, but unfortunately we have not seen any implementation of this law, and there is negligence in not holding Al-Halbousi and others accountable, and there is We hear talk about the ousted President Muhammad al-Halbousi’s possession of a sum of money amounting to $4 billion or more of this amount, and his palaces are distributed in Anbar, the governorates, and outside the country.”

He added, “Al-Halbousi’s budget is equivalent to the budget of neighboring countries, and he uses this money to achieve his goals in cooperation and coordination with prominent and influential political figures in the central government, who share common interests,” indicating that “political influences prevented the ousted president from being held accountable and referred to the judiciary, despite the presence of conclusive evidence proving his involvement.” With corruption files, the theft of huge sums of money from the Anbar budget and humanitarian organizations, numerous corruption files, and the confiscation of lands belonging to the state, acquisition and conversion of them as investment opportunities.”

He stressed that “the inflation of Al-Halbousi’s funds to more than 4 billion dollars would not have reached this level of wealth had it not been for him assuming the leadership positions of Governor of Anbar, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Head of the Taqaddam Party, his management of the governorate’s affairs, and his acquisition of huge sums of money allocated for reconstruction projects and the theft of state lands and turning them into investment opportunities, not to mention… “His acquisition of sums of money from humanitarian organizations.”
