Al-Faili: There Is Remarkable Progress In The File Of Naming The President Of The Republic, And The Problem Is Not In The Kurdish House

Earth News / A member of the Democratic Party, Ali Al-Faili, revealed today, Friday, that there has been remarkable progress in the file of naming the President of the Republic, while stressing that the current political problem is not in the Kurdish House.

Al-Faili told Earth News, “There is remarkable progress in the discussions between the two sides, the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, on the position of President of the Republic and agreement on a name for the position of President of the Republic and the name of the candidate for this position.”

He added, “But they are not in a hurry to nominate the President of the Republic, because the problem is not in the Kurdish house, as some imagine,” noting, “We do not want to be a reason to split the Shiite political house more than what currently exists.”

And Al-Faili said, “If the President of the Republic is named, Parliament sessions will be held and the process will proceed, but we want these sessions to be preceded by the nomination of the President of the Republic by an open political dialogue between the opposing parties to create the appropriate atmosphere for the next government to face these challenges.
