A political source said, on Tuesday, that the coordination framework meeting had ended, while confirming that 24 hours had been set to resolve the position of prime minister.

The source stated that “the coordination framework meeting ended with an agreement to form a committee to discuss a group of names nominated for the position of prime minister, and the committee will submit its report to the framework within the next 24 hours.”

He added that “the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, and the head of the Fatah Alliance, Hadi al-Amiri, showed high flexibility to facilitate the task of choosing the new prime minister.”

The source indicated that “the committee is formed by Sheikh Qais Khazali, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, Sheikh Hammam Hammoudi and Abdul-Sada Al-Fariji, while Haider Al-Abadi, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, Abdul-Hussein Abtan, Ali Al-Shukri and Qasim Al-Araji were nominated for the position of Prime Minister.”
