May be an image of 1 personOn Thursday, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein arrived in Riyadh to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The media office of the Iraqi Foreign Minister stated in a statement that “at the invitation of the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; To participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council states.

It is hoped that during the meeting, the ministers will discuss many issues that concern the region and the relations of the surrounding countries outside the council, in addition to discussing regional and international issues.

He pointed out that “the minister will shed light on the future dimensions of the Baghdad conference for cooperation and partnership, and the reflection of all of this on foreign relations and the political and security situation in Iraq, in addition to the early elections and their importance to Iraq and the region.”

According to the statement, “discussions between the minister and the Arab parties participating in the meeting will focus on economic and trade relations and the role of Gulf companies in investing in the various sectors in Iraq. The minister will also discuss the issue of linking with the Gulf electrical network and supplying Iraq through it with energy.”

He pointed out that the minister will meet with several ministers of the Gulf states in bilateral talks to discuss relations between Iraq and the countries concerned.
