Al-Kaabi calls for the involvement of academics in the design of the country’s legislative policy
Baghdad / Al-Sabah – First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Hassan Kareem al-Kaabi, called to involve scientific competencies, academics, research centers and specialized studies sober and unions in drawing a strategy for the country’s legislative policy, pointing out that the participation of people’s minds is important to benefit from their ideas in the development of work and come up with practical and realistic results accurate, achieving the goal of having effective and efficient legislative policies.

According to a statement of his office, received by «Morning», that «Al-Kaabi chaired a meeting of the council of advisors of the House of Representatives to develop a strategy for legislative policy in Iraq, in the presence of the Deputy Secretary-General and director of the parliamentary department and director of the department of research and studies in the Council, and the advisory group in the office of the first deputy. During the meeting, the meeting discussed the definition of vision and objectives, the philosophy of the constitution, the position of the government program and the legislation in force, the resolutions of the House of Representatives, and the need for legislative intervention.”
“This project is a glimmer of hope for the development of the state’s policy on the legislative side,” al-Kaabi said, adding that “legislation will have a clear impact on the performance and style of all institutions to make their work a success.” The first deputy stressed that “the House of Representatives should be a key partner in the design of the state’s policy, and that these efforts may be the first step to develop a clear map that will facilitate the work of the upcoming parliamentary sessions,” stressing that “this strategy will not be a political or electoral achievement as much as a solid professional achievement.”
