Baghdad today – President of the Republic Barham Saleh affirmed the necessity of cooperation between the supervisory agencies to uncover financial violations in a transparent and neutral manner.
The media office of the President of the Republic said in a statement received (Baghdad today), that “Saleh received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, today, Monday, the head of the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau, Rafel Yassin Khudair.”
The statement added that “the President of the Republic stressed the need to preserve public money, reduce its waste, and uncover corruption cases in all state institutions.”
Saleh stressed “the importance of cooperation and joint work between the regulatory agencies and the state departments to uncover financial violations transparently and impartially,” noting that “fighting corruption is no less important than fighting terrorism as they are two sides of the same coin.”
