Allawi announces the formation of the new government within 72 hours and an emergency session for deputies to vote
Informed sources announced that Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Allawi has completed the formation of his government.
The sources added that “Allawi will be officially announced next Sunday,” noting that “Allawi will inform the President of the Republic and the resigned Prime Minister and ask Parliament to hold an emergency session for the purpose of voting on the government on Sunday.”
He explained, that there is pressure from some blocs, but they will not affect the passage of government formation within the House of Representatives.
The President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih, had appointed Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi to form the new government.
