Iraq and Kuwait sign an oil agreement in the presence of a British company in Jordan
The Oil Ministry has signed a cooperation agreement with its Kuwaiti counterpart and a British consulting firm in Jordan.
“The Oil Ministry held a meeting Sunday with its Kuwaiti counterpart in Jordan to discuss the prospects for cooperation, which resulted in the signing of a contract on joint fields in cooperation with a British consulting firm,” Safia al-Suhail, the media office of Iraq’s ambassador to Jordan, said in a statement. To develop joint fields with a view to the joint use of the parties by preserving the right of both parties. ”
“The head of the legal department at the embassy, Duraid Mahmoud, attended the direction of Iraq’s ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The contract aims to develop and exploit the joint oil fields on both sides of the international border between Iraq and Kuwait.”
The delegation was headed by Abdul Mahdi Hameed Al-Ameedi, Director General of Petroleum Contracts and Licensing Department at the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, while the Kuwaiti delegation was headed by Talal Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Oil.
