The Council of Muqdadiya announces an agreement with 3 international organizations to implement humanitarian programs in the judiciary The head of the local council for Muqdadiyah in Diyala province, Adnan al-Tamimi, announced on Tuesday a comprehensive agreement with three international organizations to implement humanitarian programs in the judiciary north-east of Diyala, stressing that among the projects to be implemented is a psychological rehabilitation project for displaced people returning to their homes
Al-Tamimi told Al-Ghad Press that he received three delegations from international organizations, the Canadian Handicap organization, the DRC organization, the Canadian High Commissioner for Refugees, as well as Oxfam International, in the judiciary and held an expanded meeting with the local council building to agree on the implementation of humanitarian projects and programs.
He stressed that "the meeting came out with positive results and decisions, where it was agreed to implement a humanitarian program is the most important of which is the psychological rehabilitation of displaced persons returning to their homes, the judiciary also support people with special needs and the disabled," noting that "the program will be implemented by the French Handicap."
He added that "the second program will be implemented by the Canadian DRC organization to care for children starting from the age of 3 years to the age of 18, and provide complete recreational and psychological health and education for them as well as support families with projects that contribute to improving the standard of living.
Tamimi said that "the third project will be implemented by the International Organization of Oxfam, which aims to rehabilitate health projects and water projects throughout the judiciary," pointing out that "the projects will be implemented within the shortest possible time."
He added that "the implementation of these projects will contribute to improving the reality of service and education in all sectors in the liberated areas, including districts of Muqdadiya."
The districts of Muqdadiya district witnessed a wave of large displacement following the control of the organization calling on some of them in 2014, where many areas of them were subverted by the gangs of the terrorist organization.
