Hundreds of families are buried alive under the rubble in Mosul and have not been saved yet, the Iraqi MP Mahasen Hamdoon revealed on Thursday.

She called on the Iraqi premiere Haider al-Abadi and the other relevant ministers to save those families and rescue them from the rubble.

The Iraqi forces must help the teams tasked to reach the affected areas, especially Mosul's Old City, she asserted.

Hamdoon said that the Iraqi civilians people wanted to help the Iraqi Civil Defense Corps to save the injures people but the Iraqi Government has prevented them.

This comes as the Iraqi forces, aided by the US-led coalition, launched a major offensive to drive ISIS terrorists out of Mosul.
