Abadi direct Baghdad operations to reduce security breaches

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Wednesday issued security directives and orders to lead the Baghdad operations to control security in the capital and address any breach.
"Al-Abbadi issued a series of measures and orders to lead the Baghdad operations to contribute to maintaining security in the capital and protecting the lives of citizens," the media office of the prime minister said in a statement.

The capital Baghdad, during the past two days, two suicide bombings, one of which targeted a chain of restaurants in Karrada, while the other targeted the Directorate of General Retirement in Salhiya. On Tuesday, the prime minister attributed the bombings in Baghdad to an "intelligence flaw" rather than a "security breakdown" and said the government was working on a "radical plan" on joint checkpoints. In the meantime, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday expressed its strong condemnation and condemnation of the two terrorist bombings that targeted Baghdad recently.
