The parliamentary economic reveal the waste of about 600 billion dinars projects failed

The Committee on Economy and Investment parliamentary, on Wednesday, the waste of 600 billion dinars in the development projects of Iraqi industry during the era of the previous government without achieving any result is negligible, noting that the Commission is investigating the amounts lost in that era.

"The previous government wasted 600 billion dinars in the industrial development project and the rehabilitation of suspended factories, but most of the projects have not been completed and did not achieve the initiative a little result," said Najeeb Najib, a member of the committee.

She added that "the Committee is investigating the amounts lost in that era," asserting that "the Ministry of Agriculture is also wasted about 600 billion dinars within the agricultural initiative, but it did not achieve the required completion."

Najib said that "the financial crisis that hit the country in 2014 had a positive impact in support of industry and rely more on them and is now the rehabilitation of factories in a scientific way to provide the Iraqi economy with the local product."

Najib said that "this step needs to enact legislation that will contribute to the doubling of domestic production and protect it from external competition."
