Jubouri: The private sector must be supported to make it more a contribution to economic life

The Iraqi parliament speaker, Salim al-Jubouri, arrived in the city of Baquba, Diyala province, on Tuesday, and met with security leaders and officials of the province.

Al-Jubouri's visit to attend an academic scientific conference under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the presence of a number of members of the House of Representatives and security leaders and officials in the province.

The speaker of the Iraqi parliament called for "supporting the private sector to create the largest employment opportunities and reducing the unemployment rate, especially the student population."

"At a time when job opportunities are low, while our children are sticking to the idea of ​​a government job that is less cost effective compared to other jobs, it is necessary to support and develop the private sector to make it more effective and conducive to economic life," he said.

He pointed out that "the need to work to accommodate the proportion of job seekers in the private sectors, and that the process of employment is subject to legal control to work to provide justice in the distribution of these opportunities, away from selectivity and personal considerations."
