    Close to Maliki reveals secret dialogues with leaders and representatives of the demonstrations to end it

    Shafaq News / A leader in the State of law coalition (SLC) , Kamal al-Saadi revealed on Wednesday, the existence of secret "dialogues" with representatives and leaders of the demonstrations to end it.
    Saadi said in an interview with "Shafaq News", that "there is a trend towards calming the existing political crisis," pointing out that "there are undeclared dialogues held with representatives of the demonstrations, religion elders and tribal elders."
    With regard to the demands of the protesters, al-Saadi said that "the amnesty law is being discussed seriously and will reach the Parliament to agree on it," adding that “there is a tendency to modify the law of accountability and justice on the retirement subject and other issues.”
    A number of Iraqi provinces are witnessing demonstrations and sit-ins against the federal government in Baghdad to protest against poor conditions of prisoners and detainees and the failure in the security and service files.

    Turkey condemns the assassination of al-Issawi

    Shafaq News / The Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned the assassination of al- Iraqiya List MP, Eifan al-Issawi in Fallujah district in Anbar province , and expressed its surprise from targeting the "Sunni" Minister of Finance, Rafie al-Issawi in the same place.
    According to a statement issued by the ministry, briefed by "Shafaq News" "Ankara strongly condemns the attack that came just days after the survival of Rafie al-Issawi and the Sunni Minister of Finance from an assassination attempt on his way to the same city."
    The statement said that "the attacks are targeting solidarity and cohesion among the components of the Iraqi people."
    "Turkey hopes that the perpetrators would be brought to justice as soon as possible."
    The statement added that "Turkey will continue to work with the Iraqi people in its war against terrorism."
    An official security source has revealed on Tuesday that many people were killed and dozens were injured, including the MP in al- Iraqiya List, Aifan Saadoun al-Issawi in a suicidal attack that targeted the crowds of protesters in Anbar province.
    Issawi belongs to al-Iraqiya list, a member of the security and defense committee, and before entering the political process he was the leader of the Awakening forces in Fallujah that fought al-Qaeda organization.
    An armed militant group affiliated to al-Qaeda adopted on Tuesday, the assassination of the MP in al- Iraqiya coalition , Aifan al-Issawi for his fighting against al-Qaeda by Awakening forces that have undermined the influence of insurgents in Anbar province.

    Kurdistan Council of Ministers discusses Kirkuk bombings

    Shafaq News / Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) revealed on Wednesday, its discussion for the bombings that took place in Kirkuk , which claimed the lives of dozens of people in its meeting today.
    The government spokesman, Sven Dzia said in an interview with "Shafaq News” that "the Council of Ministers of KRG gathered fully in a delayed meeting earlier today and began discussing the terrorist bombings that took place in Kirkuk and Tuz Khurmatu district."
    Dzia noted that "the government strongly condemns these bombings, which claimed the lives of dozens of innocent people."
    Kirkuk province is of the disputed areas between Erbil and Baghdad as it witnessed this morning a number of bombings that have killed many people and injured other and the toll was more than 200 people, according to security reports.

    Maliki warns absent ministers and threatens of dismissing them in the next session

    Shafaq News / A close source to the Iraqi government revealed on Wednesday, that the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has given a final warning to dismiss the absent ministers from Tuesday’s session if this case was repeated again.
    The source said in an interview with "Shafaq News" that "the internal procedure of the Council of Ministers stipulated to dismiss the absent minister deliberately from the council’s sessions without a reason like illness or death," noting that "ministers who were absent from the Council of Ministers meeting have no objective reasons" .
    The source, who asked not to be named, added "the Presidency of the Council of Ministers directed final warning to the absent ministers from the session if they don’t resume their attendance to the meetings of the Council of Ministers."
    The source added that "the minister who wants to boycott the session can submit his resignation, otherwise it is illegal and unconstitutional and delaying to the work of the Council of Ministers”.
    The Council of Ministers convened its regular session on Tuesday, in the absence of al- Iraqiya List ministers and attendance of the Kurdish Ministers.
    A government source said in an interview with "Shafaq News" that "the Council of Ministers convened its regular session on Tuesday in the absence of the Iraqi ministers and the leader in it and Deputy of the Prime Minister , Saleh al-Mutlaq," noting that "all the Kurdish ministers had attended the meeting."
    The ministers of al- Iraqiya List and Kurds had boycotted the previous session of the Council of Ministers, which was held last week.
    Iraq is witnessing in the meantime demonstrations supporting al-Maliki and others opposed him demanding to cancel the legal accountability, justice and anti- terrorism laws.

    World Bank: Iraq makes tremendous growth until the end of 2013 and to fall to 11% in 2014

    Shafaq News / World Bank said in a report on Wednesday that Iraq has achieved a "dramatic growth" in 2012, and predicted that this growth will continue to rise until the end of 2013 while said that it would likely fall in 2014 and 2015 due to weakness in the industrial and agricultural sectors.
    The report, in which "Shafaq News" received a copy it stated that "Iraq has achieved growth in 2012 amounted to 11.1% compared with 2011, which achieved a growth of 9.9%."
    The report predicted that "Iraq will make tremendous growth in 2013 of 13.5% due to its high oil exports."
    It expected that "growth in Iraq will decline during 2014 and 2015 due to the weak industrial and agricultural sectors in Iraq and restricting it with OPEC oil quotas."
    The report added that "growth in Iraq will fall in 2014 to reach 11.0% in 2015 and will decline more to reach 8.5%."
    The deputy governor of the central bank, Basset Turki said at a banking conference attended by "Shafaq News", that "I expect that GDP would reach to $ 150 billion by the end of 2013 and growth will be 9%."
    Iraq has the fourth largest reserves of oil in the world, and produces more than three million barrels per day for the first time in three decades with the recovery of the sector after years of war and sanctions.
    Iraq achieves 95% of public revenues from the oil sector, but the country still needs to invest in non-oil sectors and develop collapsed infrastructure and power generation system.
