Iraqiya List has confirmed its commitment to withdrawing confidence from Prime Minist
BAGHDAD, June 9 (AKnews) - Iraqiya List has confirmed its commitment to withdrawing confidence from Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, adding that compatibility with Maliki is over.
The Sadrist Movement, the Kurdish Blocs Coalition (KBC) and Iraqiya List are working to withdraw confidence from PM Maliki.
But Maliki's State of Law Coalition (SLC) says the political parties failed to win the support of President Jalal Talabani for the withdrawal of confidence due to the lack of conviction about the existence of constitutional faults committed by Maliki.
Spokesman for the National Accord Movement Hadi al-Dhalmi said: "A number of signatures were submitted by the president to the president of the Council of Representatives for the withdrawal of confidence from Maliki and there are new signatures. The number of collected signatures exceeded the required number to withdraw confidence from Maliki."
The disputes between Iraqiya and the SLC have been present since the formation of the current government in 2010.
