Iraq says that the Arab summit in Baghdad will not be delayed again, whatever the reasons
Cairo, October 25 / October (Rn) - The representative of Iraq to the Arab League on Tuesday that an Arab summit in Baghdad will be held on schedule in March / March, stressing that the summit will again be delayed for any reason.
It was scheduled to hold an Arab summit in Baghdad in May / May, but that the Arab League announced a delay to March / March of next year 2012, to be held in the Iraqi capital.
A statement issued by the Secretariat of the League of Arab States, that the decision to postpone the Arab Summit next year, was "based on a formal request from the Republic of Iraq, that Iraq retains the right to host the Arab summit on the said date."
The representative of Iraq to the Arab League Ambassador Qais al-Azzawi told the Kurdish people (Rn) that "the issue of postponement of the Arab summit is unlikely this year, Iraq prepared fully ready to host the Arab leaders and kings."
He stressed that "the summit will not be delayed again, whatever the reasons," noting that "the summit was postponed last year for non-completion of the Arab revolutions, but this year completed most of the revolutions. And a lot of Arab countries confirmed they will attend the summit."
