Directed Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, to New York at the head of an official delegation, on Sunday evening, to attend meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations session 71.
Ebadi said the Office in a statement received by the agency Nun, news reporting, a copy of it, "Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi went to New York at the head of an official delegation to attend the meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations 71 session."
The office added that "Abadi, Iraq will deliver a speech at the United Nations," noting that "he will be a number of meetings with world leaders and international organizations."
The al-Abadi, said on Sunday its intention to conduct meetings with a number of world leaders on the sidelines of meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York to discuss the training of Iraqi forces, while ruled out that the US elections affect Washington's support for Baghdad.
The White House said on Friday (16 September 2016), the US President, Barack Obama, will meet Monday (19 September 2016), Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly in New York.
