Iraqi speaker due in Tehran
Tehran, Aug 19, IRNA – Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim Al-Jabouri is to arrive in Tehran on Saturday for official talks with the Iranian officials.
Al-Jabouri will hold talks with his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif during his stay in Tehran.
After Tehran, the Iraqi official, also head of Inter-Parliamentary Union, is slated to visit Turkey to discuss mutual cooperation and issues on the union.
Head of Iraqi Parliament Speaker's Office said last week in a statement that Al-Jabouri will soon visit Tehran to discuss regional developments and Iraqi situation.
Dialogue about operations to liberate Neinava province will be one of the topics of discussions during his upcoming visit, the statement said.
It further noted that the operations to liberate Neinava province will soon start and the issue requires further coordination between Iraq and regional states including Turkey and Iran.
