Judiciary: the release of 10,791 suspects over the past month

The judiciary has announced the release of about 10,791 detainees have not been convicted in the past month, saying that in 1608 were charged with terrorism.

The spokesman for the judiciary Judge Abdul Sattar Bayraktar said in a statement received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of "the country's courts settled over the past month suspended 16 626 files."

Bayraktar said that "the number of those who have been released at that time for lack of evidence against them 10791 suspended," noting that "1608 of them had been charged in accordance with the anti-terrorism law."

He pointed out that "9199 prisoners from those released were released during the investigation stage and the rest during the trial phase."
