According to a security source in Salahuddin province, on Friday, that the number of people killed between the dead and wounded two bombings at the shrine, "Mr. Muhammad" in the district of the province south of the country, while noting that the security forces killed two bombers amid violent clashes with unidentified gunmen.
The source said in an interview with Agence Nun, news reporting, "The five suicide bombers wearing explosive belts tried, after midnight on Thursday, storming of the shrine of Imam Muhammad son of Imam Ali al-Hadi (peace be upon them), in Balad, south of Salahuddin province," noting that "two suicide bombers blew themselves up at the gates of the shrine, which resulted in the death and injury of dozens. "
The source, who asked not to be named, said that "the rest of the bombers holed up inside the cemetery near the shrine and managed security force killed two of them," referring to "the outbreak of clashes with unidentified gunmen near the shrine, while the security forces are searching for the suicide the third."
