Iraqi municipalities begin assessing the work of foreign and local companies

Baghdad, March 21 / March (Rn) - The Ministry of Municipalities and Public Works of Iraq on Wednesday it has initiated evaluation of the work of foreign and local companies contracted by the Ministry to carry out service projects in the country.

The Minister of Municipalities and Public Works just Mhodr told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that "the technical committee and the engineering and administrative set up by the ministry to follow the percentage of completion and the level of efficiency of foreign and local companies contracted by the ministry during the past period and to address errors and facilitate the work of those companies."

He added that "the Ministry of Municipalities has a high-level plan to improve the rate of projects to be implemented during the current year because she was able to attract more than 60 global company with experience in the implementation of infrastructure projects."

He pointed out that "the projects implemented in the current phase will oversee the receipt of the committees which will follow the legal procedures in the verification of the ability of companies to implement service projects through a giant next stage."

The ministry had previously announced that it had completed 90% of the budget in 2011 amounting to two trillion Iraqi dinars, and the development of the position of General Manager in all provinces to organize the work of the service projects.

The protesting citizens on an ongoing basis of the lack of public services that have not been able successive Iraqi governments to exchange secure, despite billions of dollars.
