Cabinet allows employees to enjoy a long vacation with half the nominal salary

Confirmed Saad al-Hadithi, a spokesman for the Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Wednesday, that the draft vacations ordinary law passed by the Council of Ministers yesterday lets employees take leave optional for a long period during which paid half his salary nominal, noting that it was not available during the previous period.

Sabri said in a press statement that "the new draft law, which was approved by the Cabinet yesterday, and the vacation regular staff lets employees take leave optional for a long time, during which earns half a nominal salary he was receiving before the enjoyment of the leave."

He added that "this was not made available to the employee during the previous period, where the employee habitually takes leave without pay for a limited period."
