According to the provisions of paragraph (a) of Article II and forty of the Interim Constitution.

Revolutionary Command Council decided in its meeting held on 3 - 2 - 1980, the following:

Article 1:

To the Minister of the Interior, to accept foreign naturalization of the age of majority, the following conditions:

A - to be quiet in Iraq before the revolution of the fourteenth of July / 1958, and continuing to housing, until the effective date of this decision.

B - to be a relative of first or second degree, has obtained Iraqi citizenship.

C - not be in his presence in Iraq harm the security and integrity of the Republic of Iraq.

D - The request for naturalization during the period of validity of this decision.

Article 2:

To the Minister of the Interior, to accept the naturalization of foreign members of the age of majority clans (Sura and Miri Alkirkh and al-Zarkoush and Shahi king and the Nagorno-Lus and Faili and Alarcoizih), the following conditions:

A - to be quiet in Iraq for at least (fifteen) years in a row, prior to the entry into force of this decision.

B - not be in his presence in Iraq harm the security and integrity of the Republic of Iraq.

C - The request for naturalization during the period of validity of this decision.

Article 3:

To the Minister of the Interior, to accept the naturalization of foreign members of the age of majority clan (Alkwyan) with the same conditions set forth in paragraph (2) of this resolution.

Article 4:

To the Minister of the Interior, to accept the naturalization of foreign married to an Iraqi, the following conditions:

A - A is not in his presence in Iraq harm the security and integrity of the Republic of Iraq.

B - The application for naturalization that during the period of validity of this decision.

C - the continuation of the marriage, until the submission of the application.

D - to be a resident in Iraq before the year / 1958, and continuing in his residence.

Article 5:

A - The Minister of Interior, to accept the acquisition of foreign women, Iraqi nationality of her husband, provided the move (three years) to get married and gone to live in Iraq, said period, and the continuation of the marriage, until the submission of the application.

B - does not allow foreign women married to an Iraqi that went on to establish in Iraq a period (five years) to continue to be set up in it, and during the period (six months) from the effective date of this resolution, to declare their desire to acquire the nationality of her husband, Iraqi, or leaving Iraq .

C - a foreign woman married to an Iraqi, have to choose between the acquisition of Iraqi nationality, or to leave Iraq, after the lapse of a period (three years), as set forth in item (a) of this paragraph, are required to leave Iraq, if it went duration (five years) choose to set up without Iraqi citizenship.

Article 6:

All foreigners granted Iraqi citizenship, under the provisions of this resolution, that leads right to the sincerity of the Republic of Iraq to the Director of the relevant nationality within one month from the date of summons, the person is an Iraqi from the date of the performance of this right.

Article 7:

Every foreigner went to residence in Iraq for at least (ten years) sequences prior to the entry into force of this resolution, and was one of his ascendants or descendants acquired Iraqi nationality, was during the period of validity of this resolution, to announce his desire to naturalization of Iraq, or leaving Iraq .

Article 8:

Effect of this resolution, to those present in Iraq at the force, taking into account with what is stated in item (c) of paragraph (5) thereof, applies his judgment on foreign woman in Iraq, upon coming into force, and to cases that arise after this date.

Article 9:

Interior Minister, issue instructions, to facilitate the implementation of this resolution.

Article 10:

This decision is published in the Official Gazette, and shall be for a period (six months), with the exception of the provision contained in item (c) of paragraph (5) thereof.
