CBI sells $ 153 million in its first auction in 2016

Iraqi Central Bank was able, on Sunday, in the first session of the auction sale of foreign currency in the new year 2016 to sell more than $ 153 million.
According to a statement of the bank, seen by Roudao Media Network, "The size of the amount sold today reached 153 million, and $ 336 thousand, priced at 1182 dinars to the dollar exchange rate, with the participation of 26 banks and 19 financial company to convert."
He pointed out that "the amount of remittances and credits amounted to 137 million and 316 thousand dollars, while the quantity sold was 16 million in cash and 20 thousand dollars."
The statement said that "the amounts transferred to the accounts of banks selling abroad is priced at 1187 dinars per dollar, and the cash sales price shall be the price of 1190 dinars per dollar."
The CBI had sold last year 2015 more than 44 billion dollars in the auction to sell the currency to banks majority of remittances.
