House of Representatives voted to impose taxes on vehicles and mobile phone cards

Iraqi Council of Representatives voted in its meeting held today to impose a tax on the estimated 20% of mobile phones and 5% on cars, while the sound of cards to be a tax on alcoholic beverages ratio of 100%

The Council had to vote on Article 9 of the budget relating to the share of the Kurdistan region because of differences among members about the region's share amounting to 17% law.

The council also voted to paragraph 28 of the Budget Law for the year 2016 for the federal government and the Oil Ministry's commitment to reviewing the licenses of oil rounds decades to amend the terms of contracts in order to preserve Iraq's economic interest and pay increase oil production and reduce costs and find a cost recovery mechanism in line with oil prices.
