7-year prison sentence on a former trade minister

Criminal Court issued in Karbala on Saturday, sentenced in absentia to 7 years in prison and former Trade Minister Abdul Falah al-Sudani tea after being convicted of a corrupt file.

He said the statement of the judiciary, PUKmedia received a copy of it: that Karbala Criminal Court held its suit and looked fugitive Abdul Falah al-Sudani, which was formerly a Minister of Trade.
The statement added: "It has been sentenced to prison for 7 years for tea corrupt issue," pointing out that the decision was made in accordance with Article 340 of the Penal Law No. 111 of 1969.
The statement emphasized that the court also upheld the seizure decision issued against movable and immovable property.
