Kurdistan: our economic crisis has reached a critical level

Qubad Talabani, Vice President of the Kurdistan Regional Government warned of the risk of the economic crisis plaguing the province, saying "that the financial crisis has reached a dangerous level."

He said during a meeting of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Sulaimaniya, that the financial crisis of the most serious crises facing the Kurdistan region, attributing this to the lack of financial imports and lower oil prices in the world market not to mention the increasing number of staff in the region, also warned of the repercussions of the continuing economic crisis negatively on the lives and livelihoods of citizens.

He called on all political parties to cooperate with his government to pass the stage, which he described most difficult and the most dangerous stages on the future of the Kurdistan region, through retrenchment, which is a huge financial burden on the provincial government.
