Rustam: Government moving towards customs taxes to provide revenue for the Government
Member of the parliamentary Finance Committee said Masood Rustom, customs taxes two alternatives to provide revenue after lower oil prices.
He warned parliamentary Financial Committee member Abdulkader Mohamed earlier, "Government may face economic difficulties in the event of continued low oil prices globally", stating that "the Committee works in coordination with the Government to find solutions to provide employee salaries by 2016."
Rustam said "The Government go about finding real financial income alternative oil resources amid low global oil prices very much negative to offset the country's borders," he said, adding that "the resources of the Federal Government's responsibility."
"The basic task and alternative sources to strengthen the State's financial budget is activating the customs taxes and bring revenue to the State Treasury," he said, adding that "the Government will support the parliamentary financial orientation towards maximising the financial resources of the country and fight the corrupt so the benefit of the Iraqi people as a whole".
The Committee stressed the financial alnialet, the package of laws has exceeded ten to support monetary policy are preparing to pass soon to Parliament.
Iraq suffers from a financial crisis and weakness in the monetary policy that caused waste of public money, so the Government attempts, Parliament is serious about reform and promoting a framework law on the work of the country's economy.
