Iraqi government allocates 674 billion dinars to support the national electricity system

A source in the prime minister, said that "the Council voted on by the Ministry of Finance to allocate this amount to the Ministry of Electricity, in order to support the development work in the electrical system."
He added that "This decision came also to support the investment budget of the Ministry," adding that "499 billion dinars, of which dedicated to the sustainability of the electricity system, and 175 billion dinars to support the investment budget."
The Iraqi government is trying to contain the anger of the Iraqi street, which came out in protest demonstrations swept central and southern governorates, since last Friday.
