Parliamentary committee to follow up the embezzlement, bribery
(Alsabaah BAGHDAD) - Legal Committee in the House of Representatives expressed their intention to form a committee of parliamentarians in cooperation with the Integrity Commission to reduce the phenomenon of embezzlement and bribery widespread in state institutions.
Legal Committee member Ibtisam Hilali, said in a statement the "morning", that next week will see the formation of a committee from a group of parliamentarians to reduce the phenomenon of embezzlement and bribery, indicating it will pass on all institutions and will intensify its work with the Integrity Commission to eliminate this phenomenon. She said: "This Committee will try to control the phenomenon of misappropriation of funds, bribery, which wreaked departments and exhausted government institutions", referring to the imposition of deterrent penalties to curb this phenomenon.
She said MP it would be shared by a group of deputies in the parliament and will be announced soon, and it will work against corruption and bribery will exercise its supervisory role on these things, to eliminate this scourge, noting that the Penal Code to be adopted will be added to him some of the amendments including increasing penalties from 15 years to 20 years for embezzlement and bribery to be a deterrent sentence as well as dismissal from the job.
