    Parliament to hold session on Tuesday without discussing Budget law

    Baghdad (AIN) –Parliament will resume its session on Tuesday without considering the Budget law of 2014 during the session.

    A statement by the media office of the parliament received by All Iraq News Agency cited "The session will witness voting on Labor law and conducting the first and second reading of several laws."



    50 MPs of the State of Law submit a request to include the budget in today's session

    BAGHDAD / NINA / Fifty MPs of the state of law coalition submitted a request for the Presidency of the Council of Representatives to include the federal budget of 2014 on the agenda of today's meeting.

    A parliamentary source told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "The 50 MPs belonging to the State of Law coalition submitted a formal request to the Presidency of the Council of Representatives to include the budget law in the council's session today."

    It is mentioned that the agenda of the meeting of the Council of Representatives today did not include the budget bill, which is witnessing significant political differences between the governments of the center and the Kurdistan region on the issue of the exporting oil from the region.

    Kurdish MP: budget law will be discussed today at a meeting between the Presidency of the Council of Representatives and the heads of political blocs

    BAGHDAD / NINA / MP for the Kurdistan Alliance, Sheriff Soliman said a meeting will be held today between the Presidency of the Council of Representatives and the heads of political blocs to reach a consensus on the budget bill .

    Sulaiman told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "there is no any progress on the budget bill in the House and there is a tendency to get a political consensus before starting today's session to discuss various proposals of the blocs ."

    He added, "The reliance on the Constitution and the law will be an important condition for political consensus with this law , noting that the agreement on the budget bill needs more time and there are no indicators to reach a solution in today's session on the law."

    The Kurdistan Alliance boycotted sessions of the House of Representatives until solving differences between the governments of the center and the region on the issue of the export of oil from the region .

    the independent MP for the Kurdistan Alliance , Mahmoud Othman, denied that members of his alliance boycott sessions of the House of Representatives , announcing that the members of the Alliance will attend the next session of the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

    Othman said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "The contacts are continuing between the federal region governments on one hand and between the political blocs on the other hand on the budget 2014, but failed to reach a positive result so far .

    House Speaker meets with political blocs' leaders to discuss the budget

    Parliment Speaker survives assassination attempt in Mosul

    Nineveh (AIN) -The Iraqi parliament Speaker, Osama Al Nijaifi survived assassination attempt when an Improvised Explosive Device exploded at a roadside in Mosul city, capital of Nineveh province.
    Security source told All Iraq News Agency "The Parliament Speaker, Nijaifi and his brother, Atheel al-Nijaifi, survived terrorist assault as IED went off targeting their motorcade in Mosul. The bombing injured one of Nijaifi's guards."
    Nijaifi has arrived to Nineveh yesterday where he met with the Governor and senior officials there.
