Maliki receives a phone call from Ban Ki-moon
BAGHDAD / NINA / Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki received a phone call yesterday evening from UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
A statement by the Prime Minister's Office cited today that "Ban Ki-moon welcomed the progress made in bilateral relations between Iraq and Kuwait, stressing that" the United Nations will work their best in order to remove Iraq from Chapter VII. "
Secretary-General appreciated the Iraqi government's efforts to resolve all the problems, inherited from the previous regime, with the countries of the world, especially the neighboring countries.
For his part, the Prime Minister praised the role of the UN and its support Iraq's positions, especially in his efforts to get out of Chapter VII.
