    Barzani accepts Talabani's suggestion to stop media provocation.

    Arbel / NINA /-- Presidency spokesman of Kurdistan region Umid Sabah said that the Kurdish regional president Massoud Barzani accepted working in the light of Jalal Talbani president's initiative to stop media provocative campaigns regarding the current crisis between the federal government and Kurdistan province.

    He explained in an official statement today, "Military commissions that formed recently can start examining technical side in joint meetings to discuss the details, noting that the final decision in the Kurdistan region will be taken after submitting the results of meetings to Kurdistan Parliament and provincial government and Kurdish political forces to take the final and official decision ./

    Baghdad / NINA /-- Kurdistan Alliance MP Hamid Baffy denied rumors saying that Kurdistan region possesses fighter planes, tanks, rockets and heavy weapons, noting that "these rumors are fabricated just to cover up the failure of the government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki," he said.

    Baffy said in a statement to the NINA today: "The rumors circulating and alleging that Kurds possesses such a type of heavy weapons, moreover factories for weapons production, and that Kurdistan government arming civilians in disputed areas, all are untruths exaggerations aiming at deviating the public attention of the failure of the central government in providing services to citizens, as well as on what Prime Minister doing of a vast and massive military deployment of forces in the disputed areas , where the fifth division in Diyala, the fourth in Salahuddin, the second and the third in Nineveh, and the twelfth in Kirkuk.

    He stressed that' one of the most important goals of this military mobilization is trying to destroy Kurdistan economy and infrastructure, as attention of all Iraqis and foreigners is focused on Kurdistan thanks to what witnessing the province of prosperity, reconstruction and development.

    Baffy the religious leaders and the political blocs and civil society organizations to: "intervene to spare the Iraqi people repetition of previous tragedies."

    Hakim, Salih stress necessity of settling crisis between KR, CG

    Baghdad (AIN) –The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and the Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Barham Salih, stressed the necessity of settling the crisis between Kurdistan Region and the Central Government.

    A statement by the SIIC received by AIN cited "Hakim received Salih at his office where they discussed the internal issues of Iraq in addition to the regional issues."

    Earlier, the President, Jalal Talabani, announced reaching agreement between the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the President of Kurdistani Region, Masoud Barzani, over forming local forces from the citizens of the disputed areas to sustain security in these areas.

    Presidential statement received by AIN cited "Due to the Presidency's adherence to sustain security and to preserve unity among the Iraqis, Talabani and the Vice-President, Khudair al-Khuzayi, exerted huge efforts recently with all sides," noting that "These efforts resulted in reaching agreement between Maliki and Barzani over stopping all media tensed statements, holding meetings for the technical and military concerned committees to form local joint forces to assume the responsibility of the security file in the disputed areas to withdraw the forces that deployed recently in these areas."

    "These procedures will provide the necessary atmospheres for conducting brotherly positive dialogue to achieve security and stability to start investment, services and progressive projects," the statement continued.

    "Talabani called all the political sides to support these efforts through all possible means and urged the media outlets to avoid all that contradict the cooperative spirit and the dialogues," the statement concluded.

    INA meeting discussed reconsidering Maliki's monopolizing policies, says Kinani

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Ameer al-Kinani, of Ahrar bloc assured that the meeting of the Iraqi National Alliance held on last Wednesday evening discussed reconsidering monopolizing policies practiced by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, without consulting other sides.

    He stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "INA sides stressed reducing the disputes and the communal tension to settle the problems peacefully."

    "The meeting tackled the issue of forming coordinating committees to coordinate between the Council of Ministers and the parliament," he assured.

    "There are concerns over possible use of violence by Maliki to solve the issue of the disputed areas," he concluded.

    INA held a meeting on last Wednesday to discuss the current political crisis.

    Bayati: Turkmen reject deployment of Peshmerga in their areas

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Mohamed Mahdi al-Bayati, of the Turkmen National bloc confirmed that the Turkmen reject the deployment of the Peshmerga elements in their areas.

    He stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "The Turkmen calls for deploying only the Federal forces their areas and in case the Government failed in accomplishing this demand, we call to form armed Turkmen groups to protect the Turkmen."

    "The Turkmen do not welcome the Peshmerga in their areas and consider their deployment as an attempt to target them," he concluded.

    Earlier, President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, visited Peshmerga military forces in Kirkuk province on last Monday.

    An informed source told All Iraq News Agency on last Monday "Barzani has arrived in Kirkuk on Monday morning where he visited the sites of the Peshmerga forces in Lelian district of southern the province."

    The recent days witnessed less tension between the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government than the previous escalated tension on the background of forming Dijla Operations Command and its deployment in the disputed areas.

    Baghdad (AIN) –The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council Ammar al-Hakim discussed with Ayatollah Hussein Ismail al-Sadr the internal and regional situations.

    A statement by the SIIC received by AIN cited Friday "Hakim met Ayatollah Hussein Ismail al-Sadr in Baghdad," noting that "Both sides discussed view points over internal Iraqi affairs and regional situation as well as means of settling disputes to serve the citizen and country."

    Official demands to speed up endorsement of 2013 State Budget

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP Majida al-Temimi demanded members of the Parliament to accelerate the endorsement of 2013 Federal State Budget before the end of 2012.

    She reported in statement to AIN ''The law of the federal budget of 2013 must be endorsed before 31/12/2012 so the ministries would not have reasons to justify negligence in their work," pointing out that ''The ministers always attribute negligencting of their duties to the delay in the endorsement of state budget.''

    The political arena witnesses from time to time some wide complex differences that impact the endorsement of the state financial budget.


    The Council of Ministers has endorsed the budget law draft of 2013, which reached (138) trillion, on October 23, while the Iraqi Parliament is still discussing the law project of the State Budget for 2013.

    Iranian Kurdish Parties KDP, KDPI Meet for First Time Since 2006 Split

    KOYA, Kurdistan Region – The Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (KDPI) and Iran’s Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) met for the first time this week since splitting into two groups in 2006, for talks aimed at a possible reunification, officials said.

    “Both parties believe that they have a mutual agenda and must resolve their differences in order to realize that agenda, said Qadir Wirya, a member of the KDP’s senior leadership.

    He told Rudaw that, “In general unification between the two parties was discussed in the talks.”

    Hama Nazif Qadiri, a senior KDPI official, confirmed that the aim of the meeting was to improve relations, but said that, “Unification requires building trust between the two parties.”

    Wirya agreed that, “The process takes a lot of effort from both sides.”

    At a 2006 convention, KDPI members elected Mustafa Hijri as leader, forcing a split that created the KDP under the leadership of Khalid Azizi. Hijri represented the KDPI at the reunification talks.

    “Both parties discussed several political issues directly related to Iranian Kurdistan,” Wirya said. “A mechanism to participate in national and international meetings related to Iran also was discussed,” he added.

    Qadiri did not directly address whether the meeting meant recognition of the KDP by his party.

    “The most important thing for KDPI is to hold a dialogue with all Iranian Kurdish parties, regardless of their ideological beliefs,” Qadiri said.

    Baghdad (AIN) –The Kurdistani Alliance's MP Mehmma Khalil assured that "The alliance is not optimistic towards resolving the crisis between the governments of Baghdad and Erbil."

    He told All Iraq News Agency (AIN) that "The Kurdistani Alliance is not optimistic of the actions taken by the Central Government, which is escalating the crises and creating it, in order to hurdle reaching solutions with Kurdistan region."

    Khalil added "We wish this political crisis, between Baghdad and Erbil, would pass peacefully because of its serious consequences on all Iraq."

    He noted that "The Central Government always covers a crises by another because it is a government of crises."
