Baghdad (AIN) -A source, close to the leader of the Iraqiya Slate Ayad Allawi, revealed about negotiations being conducted currently between the President, Jalal Talabani and the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, to re-launch the request of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.

The source told AIN that "The consultations are taking place now between Talabani and Barzani about reactivating the request of withdrawing confidence from Maliki," pointing out that "Barzani asked Allawi to join their meetings but the latter refused to attend them, justifying his refusal by saying "I will not join you unless you reach a specific decision about this issue."

"The leader of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, after his arrival to Najaf, gave the green light for accepting this request," the source mentioned, stressing that "The 40 votes, which were collected to withdraw confidence from Maliki earlier, are still there." /End/
