Amnesty International called on Iraq Tuesday to conduct an investigation into the wave of attacks that targeted the country Sunday, while condemned the death sentence against Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi. statement quoted the Organization Deputy Director of the Organization in the Middle East and North Africa Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui saying that the attacks described by Palmruah reflect the irreverence fully human life. said Sahraoui said on Iraqi authorities to ensure an immediate and thorough investigation, fair and transparent in order to bring those responsible for these attacks to justice in proceedings consistent with standards tougher and internationally recognized fair trial. The statement condemned to death by hanging, which was issued against Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, who was convicted of killing a lawyer and dean of the Iraqi army. Sahraoui said in this regard that the death penalty is death with the utmost cruelty and inhumane and a violation of the right to life, and called on the Iraqi authorities to commute the sentence on Hashemi immediately.
