Kurdistan: the province is ready for dialogue with Baghdad over oil law

Baghdad, September 2 / Spettmr (AKnews) - The Kurdistan Alliance Sunday, the representative of the province in Baghdad and Deputy Prime Minister Ruz Nuri Shawis between Baghdad that the province is ready for dialogue on the enactment of the oil and gas, indicating that a new crisis would create if the suspended region exporting oil again.

It is said that there are three bills currently in the Iraqi parliament, was presented first project in 2007, but due to the failure to reach a consensus on it hung in the House of Representatives, and the second project was presented by the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary, either third project has been sent to the House of Representatives in 2011 by the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs Hussain al-Shahristani, however, none of these projects have not yet attained ratification by Parliament so far.


The oil and gas file, one of the main outstanding problems between the Kurdistan Regional Government, and the federal government, in the absence of a law regulating oil and gas affairs in Iraq.
