Baghdad is working to thwart the Russian arms deal for the Kurdistan Region

Newspaper quoted an American official in the Iraqi government as saying that the Kurdistan Region enjoys federalism in Iraq, signed the first arms deal with multi-state has not been identified to protect the territory of any foreign aggression.
The official said in remarks to the newspaper "World Tribune," which did not mention his name, "we know very well about the deal signed by the Kurdistan Regional Government to buy weapons, and we are working to make it fail."

He noted that "there are reports that weapons manufactured by Russia," but they're reluctant to say that the Moscow region is the provider arms. "
The newspaper said that "Baghdad is also seeking to thwart the energy deals signed between the Territory and foreign companies."
