Shafaq News / The Presidency of the parliament confirmed on Thursday its commitment to continue to hold daily sessions for the parliament to perform its legislative and observing role, while the U.S. embassy expressed its willingness to support the parliament efforts.

The Second Deputy of the parliament Speaker, Arif Tayfur has said in a statement in which "Shafaq News" received a copy of it , that "The Parliament is determined to continue to perform its actions although there are problems and political differences."

"The Parliament is determined to continue its daily and held these days in order to perform its functions from the legislative, regulatory, although there are problems and differences between the blocs and political forces."

"The parliament is about to vote on important laws including the Independent Electoral Commission Act in addition to the law of the Federal Court and the Supreme Judicial Council as well as the ongoing work of the committees,” he added.

From her part, the Vice-Consul of the new political Consul at the U.S. Embassy, Christine Lawson quoted in her meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the parliament, Arif Tayfur "the United States interest and its willingness to support the parliament efforts."
