The ministry attributed the causes of this decline to the continuing decline in food prices across Iraq, especially prices of fruits and vegetables where prices fell this section rate (4.6%) during the month of June

The statement added that the annual Altaatdkhm indicators for the period from June 2011 until June 2012 increased by (5.8%) .. Explaining that the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Ministry completed the inflation report for the month of June 2012, prepared on the basis of field data collection “on the prices of goods and services comprising the consumer basket of a selected sample of outlets in all governorates of Iraq, 2007.

The report showed that the general index of consumer prices reached (137.7%) in the month of June 2012, a decline rate of 2.1% for Alshahralsabak and increased by 5.8% compared with the month of June 2011

The report said the Department of Food and non-alcoholic beverages recorded a price decline during the month of June 2012 by 6.5% compared to the previous month, due to lower their prices in the Kurdistan region of 6.4% in the central region at 7.9% in the South a rate of 4.7%, the main reason for the low prices of this section at the level of Iraq, mainly due to lower prices of vegetables and fruits. prices of this section increased by 4.6% compared to prices in June 2011.
