BAGHDAD, July 8 (AKnews) - The National Alliance (NA) sent a formal invitation to all political blocs on Saturday to sit down at the negotiating table, adding that it decided as a sign of goodwill to stop the media escalation and everything that may deepen the political differences.

A committee that includes eight members of the NA is preparing a draft of political reforms, which will be submitted to the political blocs for approval, according to the alliance.

The head of the NA Ibrahim al-Jaafari said at a news conference held in Baghdad: "The NA calls on all political blocs participating in the political process to return to their attitudes in light of what emerged from the current political crisis and respond to the initiative that calls for direct dialogue between the political blocs.

"The NA calls on its partners in the political process to discuss with it a group of important files to take quick action to resolve them and study them to find effective solutions according to time limits."

The political crisis increased in the country recently, especially after the issuance of an arrest warrant against Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, the decision to dismiss Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq from his post and the oil crisis between Baghdad and Erbil.

Iraqiya, the Sadrist Movement and the Kurdish Blocs Coalition (KBC) want to withdraw confidence from PM Maliki. The Sadrists recently withdrew their support for the withdrawal of confidence and interrogation of Maliki in the Council of Representatives.
