The Cabinet of Ministers approves the expansion of Bismayah power plant

The Cabinet of Ministers held its weekly regular session in Baghdad on Sunday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi.
The Cabinet discussed a number of issues on its agenda, including the mechanisms for contract workers across all government institutions.

The Cabinet approved the development of the entry points to the city of Baghdad.

The Cabinet approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council on Energy regarding the framework contract to link the Iraqi network with the Gulf Electricity Interconnection Network.

The Cabinet also approved the Iraqi Nursing Council Bill.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved a loan agreement between the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Standard Chartered Bank and the German Deutsche Bank for the purpose of financing the construction of 13 secondary substations (132) kV, and the supply of 35 high voltage transformers with the German company, Siemens, for the Ministry of Electricity.

The Cabinet also approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council on Energy to expand Bismayah power plant.
