Oil Minister: A new export port on the Gulf with a capacity of two million barrels

Oil Minister Thamer Ghadhban announced Wednesday the opening of a new export terminal on the Gulf with a capacity of 2 million barrels.

"There are significant projects to invest the associated gas in Dhi Qar, Maysan and Basra with a capacity of 9050 million square meters," Ghadhban said, adding that "a new export outlet has opened on the Gulf with a capacity of 2 million barrels.

The Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, on Tuesday, the adoption of recommendations on the export of oil to Syria and Jordan.

Abdul Mahdi said during his weekly conference that "Iraq has lost the ports of export of oil, and needs to diversify the export lines," declaring "recommendations on the export of oil to Syria and Jordan."

"The Anti-Corruption Council will open several files, including oil smuggling and drug control," Abdul Mahdi said.

The Prime Minister, that "Iraq's wheat production amounted to 4 million tons, and this is a record in the country's history," noting that "the government paid the dues of the peasants in full."
